The religions of the world are built upon, defined by their spiritual practices

Ritual is of the basic religion and its customs, not necessarily finding its way into the finer spiritual. Though the Lord has said, ‘Offer me a flower, in devotion, and I will accept it’. You believe you follow your ‘religion’, faithfully. You do your best. But the (almost unseen) workings of mind will sweep you away into ignorance or ‘sleep’. There, you may be far away from (your religion’s) deep spirituality. One does one’s best. But mostly we do not ask for help, real help - spiritual help which can lead to surrender: 'Thy Will, not mine’. We plough on alone. And the glorious ‘I Am That’ is immersed in ritual
